What Is a Part-Load Removal?
A part load uses only the vehicle space your belongings need rather than reserving an entire removal van. When two or more compatible jobs are travelling along the same route, they can sometimes be planned into one journey.
This can work particularly well for a few pieces of furniture, boxes, student moves, auction purchases, smaller relocations and other loads that do not require a whole vehicle.
Shared Transport Without Parcel-Courier Handling
Shared vehicle space does not mean your belongings are passed through a parcel network or handled anonymously between depots. The Road To London is a removal and delivery service. We establish what is being transported, plan the space and keep compatible customer loads organised throughout the journey.
For furniture and larger items, we can discuss access, stairs, awkward dimensions and other handling requirements before collection.
Part-load delivery does not have to mean kerbside delivery. Where arranged in advance and suitable for the item, we can also help with positioning, suitable reassembly and straightforward installation where appropriate.
How Our Part-Load Journeys Work
We do not operate a rigid departure timetable. Journeys are created by real customer bookings. If a suitable vehicle is travelling between London and the South West and has capacity for another compatible load, we can consider adding it to that journey.
Your own enquiry can also create a new trip. Once a journey exists, other suitable collections or deliveries may be matched around it where doing so is practical and does not compromise the service.
When a Part Load Makes Sense
Part loads are most useful when the volume is smaller than a full van and there is some flexibility around collection or delivery. They can suit single pieces of furniture, several bulky items, small flat moves, student belongings, auction collections, storage movements and business items.
If you have a fixed completion date, a large household move, unusually complex access or need exclusive use of the vehicle, a dedicated removal may be the better option. We can quote for either approach.

Our principal corridor connects Cardiff and South Wales, Bristol, Bath, Swindon, Newbury, Reading, Slough and London in both directions. These are main route points rather than strict boundaries, and reasonable nearby collections or deliveries can be considered.
If you are somewhere between the main stops, or slightly away from the route, send us the postcodes. We assess the actual journey rather than rejecting an enquiry simply because it falls outside a city boundary.
What We Need to Quote
For an accurate part-load quote, send the collection postcode, delivery postcode, preferred dates, a clear list or photographs of the items, and any information about stairs, lifts, parking or difficult access. Measurements are particularly helpful for larger furniture.
